Hunter Training Education Corner
Classes
for 2011 should be available after March 2011
By Mary Batt
A HTE (Hunter
Training Education) class was hosted by Delaware County Field and Stream
Association on Friday and Saturday, August 20th and 21st.
We had 47 students and 100% passed.
This endeavor could not be undertaken without the support of the Staff,
Instructors and Volunteers who make it happen along with the DWCOs (Deputy
Wildlife Conservation Officers) who teach the Law portion of the class, and of
course, the WCO.
If you are
interested in becoming an instructor or have some time to volunteer, please
contact Mary Batt at 610.213.5995 for additional information.
There will be a Distance Learning Courses
posted on the Pennsylvania Game Commission website:
www.pgc.state.pa.us
It works like this.
Call the PGC for a Hunter Trapper Course Book. You can study at home online.
You will need to check the PA Game Commission website for testing sites.
(One was held here in June and the course was two hours).
We hope to be scheduling another Distance Learning Course in the fall.
